'The Boy Who Cried Wolf

The Boy Who Cried Wolf is a well-known fable that tells the story of a young boy who repeatedly cries "Wolf!" to his fellow villagers, even though there is no wolf present. The villagers, initially alarmed by the boy's cries, soon realize that he is playing a prank on them and ignore him.

Eventually, a wolf does actually appear and the boy cries out for help, but the villagers do not believe him and do not come to his aid. As a result, the wolf kills some of the boy's sheep.
